Homecoming 2025 Schedule of Events

Join our students, alumni, families, and friends for one of our largest annual gatherings to celebrate campus pride and experience BSU life.

Spirit Week kicks off on Tuesday, Oct. 14 with events throughout the week leading up to Homecoming. For our students, this is a cherished tradition celebrating BSU pride and community.

Who will be the 2025 Homecoming Champion?? Ten of BSU’s junior and senior students showcase their BSU Pride and Spirit in a pageant-based competition including a BSU themed costume, Talent Performance, and Q&A.  Student attendees will have the chance to vote to help select the winner!

This luncheon welcomes all alumni who have graduated beginning with the year 1975 and above. Spend the afternoon reminiscing with peers and enjoying the a cappella hits of local quartet Street Magic. Sip on beer, wine, and soft drinks while indulging in a fall-themed carving station and desserts, while special guest President Frederick Clark Jr., ’83, provides university updates. Celebrate our 50th reunion class of 1975 and any additional attendees as the alumni office and our current Golden Bears help to initiate them into this elite alumni group.

There are two seatings to choose from; 9:30 a.m. OR 11:30 a.m. Each brunch seating will be 90 minutes. All registered guests will have reserved seating.  

Seating is limited and registration is required for all guests, including any BSU student attending with family.

Our infamous campus bar, the Rathskeller, doesn’t exist in the student union these days, but we resurrect it each year to celebrate Homecoming! Have an end zone view as our own BSU Bears take on the Dean College Bulldogs. Enjoy live music from John Balutis, ’92, while catching up with all your college pals. However, the party doesn’t stop when the game ends! Boston’s premiere band, Hot Mess, will keep the party going by playing all of your favorite hits! Ticket includes continuous tailgate buffet, entertainment, and three complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. Beer, wine, hard cider, assorted hard seltzers, soft drinks, and a variety of mocktails will be served. Cash bar thereafter.
